Rachel Nichols and Byung-hun Lee will be joining Sienna Miller in G.I Joe.
Nichols, best known for her work on action-centric series like Alias and The Inside, has been cast as Scarlett in the pic, while Lee takes on the role of Storm Shadow.
Shadow, according to the cartoons history, has “dark and complex history who is one of the most popular and enigmatic characters of the GI JOE universe. According to GI JOE lore, Storm Shadow was trained by the same Ninja master as Snake Eyes, a member of the elite GI JOE team, but now fights against him.
Scarlett is described as “one of the original members of the GI JOE team, she is skilled in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat and specializes in counter-intelligence,” reports Moviehole.
The live-action film based on the Hasbro toys, comicbook and TV series will be directed by Stephen Sommers.

ACED Magazine New Rachel Nichols Interview!
-Posted by: Quivi
P2 debuted this past weekend and as luck would have it, Rachel Nichols, star of the film was available for an interview. Rachel has appeared in many roles on film and television. (Alias, Sex and the City, Shopgirl). P2 centers on Rachel’s character, a rising corporate star working for a mid-town Manhattan firm. She finds herself in peril once she gets accosted in a deserted parking garage by a psychotic security guard (Wes Bentley) when her car won’t start.
Being held captive and antagonized for hours, the frightened and blood-soaked woman tries to turn the tables on her delusional antagonist.
Since there are a lot of bizarre scenes in P2, what was it like coming to the set day after day knowing that you were going to be put through some tough work? That was actually something that was a cross between the most difficult and intense thing I ever did, and yet it was also something pretty enjoyable in an acting sense. You know, going to work everyday knowing that, inevitably, the scenes we were shooting would be some form of torture and I would probably end up bruised or bleeding, that was always a foreboding feeling. But the people we worked with were great…and the thing that saved me was actually my friendship with Wes Brantley. We were very good friends off camera so that helped ease the pain, so to speak. ... What could be more cool? wonders Rachel Nichols, cinema's new scream queen. She talks to Jay Stone about her thriller, P2.
Rachel Nichols is a 27-year-old former model best known for her role as agent Rachel Gibson in the TV show Alias. She's made about a dozen films, notably the horror movies The Woods and The Amityville Horror. She gets her first chance at a starring role in P2, a thriller about an executive who is trapped on the P2 level of a parking lot with a creepy security guard (played by Wes Bentley). Her character is chained up, handcuffed, almost drowned in an elevator, and chased by a vicious Rottweiler, all while wearing a skimpy dress -- but not too skimpy, because Nichols has a non-nudity clause in her contract. She spoke with CanWest News Service movie critic Jay Stone about the challenges of P2, which opens tomorrow.
Q: Was this shoot as tough as it looked? A: I'll never be able to read a script the same way I read P2, because I read P2 thinking, "Guns, blood, dog, handcuffs, car chases, wearing a dress. It'll be so much fun. God, what a cool movie. That'll be great." And now I don't look at a script with a dog in it the same way. I think, "Well, there's a dog. Is it a dog that will be chasing me or biting me or making me bleed, or am I going to have to kill it?" It changed the way I read potential material. ... Read More ...

Some firsts you never forget -- first love, first job and, of course, first "negotiation over nudity."
For Rachel Nichols, this auspicious inauguration into the finer details of cinematic skin-flashing came about thanks to the horror thriller P2. In it, the 27-year-old beauty stars as a workaholic executive abducted and terrorized by a doting, psychotic parking-garage attendant (Wes Bentley).
Problem was, while she loved the story, she was less than thrilled with her prospective costume. Or lack thereof. ... Read More ...
It was a big role that took a lot of work. I'd do it again because I had such a good time making this movie," actress Rachel Nichols purrs, her praises practically radiating from our phone receiver as we chat about her time on Franck Khalfoun's P2 (opening November 9th). Nichols, until now, has carried a lot of supporting roles in horror films such as Lucky McKee's The Woods and Platinum Dunes' The Amityville Horror. She also held a steady stint on the hit J.J. Abrams-created series "Alias." In Nichols' latest thriller, it's showtime, baby. A challenging leading role finds her playing Angela Bridges, a woman trapped on Christmas Eve in a parking structure with a security guard (Wes Bentley) vying for her attention in the worst ways possible. So, without further adieu, here's the conversation that transpired when Nichols gave ShockTillYouDrop.com a jingle...
ShockTillYouDrop.com: Your character, Angela, from the get-go, breaks stereotypes right away in this film when it comes to on-screen heroines. Rachel Nichols: One of the most interesting things about Angela is the script sets her up one way. When you first see her, she's clearly intelligent, business-savvy, young and successful and she's very well put together. She's got family stress, she's busy, but she's very prim and proper. The path that she has to take from the first images we see of her to when she wakes up in a dress, changed to a table and being served Christmas dinner to escaping to then the other stuff she ends up doing - the path she takes is so incredible. That dichotomy from where she begins to where she ends is very striking. It really supports the whole fight or flight thing - and she stays to fight. It's empowering for all women because I would like to think if I was in that situation, I could fight to save my own life and get out alive. ... Read More ...
Rachel Nichols is having a lot of fun

Rachel Nichols is not the kind of girl who likes to park -- at least not anymore.
In the new film "P2," she plays a businesswoman who is the target of a psycho after she's locked in a parking garage on Christmas Eve.
It turns out all this parking hell has been very, very good for a rising young actress.
"For the first time ever I'm on the side of busses. It's my face! I was driving on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles and a bus was next to me. I glanced over and I'm looking at myself [on a billboard] at eye level," Nichols marvels.
Born in Augusta, Maine, Nichols graduated from Columbia University with a major in math and economics. A former model, she was a series regular on "Alias" and has also done film roles in "Shopgirl," "Resurrecting the Champ" and "Autumn in New York." ... Read More ...
P2 Review
-Posted by: Quivi
Swift and stealthy “P2” is a canny exploitation of one of the urban woman’s greatest fears: the after-hours parking garage. Throw in a car that won’t start, a creepy security guard and a filmmaking team with perfect synchronicity, and the result is a minimalist nightmare. It’s Christmas Eve, and Angela Bridges (Rachel Nichols), a workaholic lawyer with a cool demeanor and a hot body, is dismayed to find herself trapped in her deserted office building. Her mood doesn’t improve when she’s attacked and sedated and wakes up tied to a chair wearing a cleavage-baring frock and blood-red lipstick. ... Read More ...
