Actors pull 'Resurrecting the Champ' off the mat

"Resurrecting the Champ" sounds like it should be the ad slogan for the next "Rocky" installment, but it's actually the misleading title of another true-life, dishonest-journalist movie in the tradition of "Broken Glass" and "Capote."
Only this time the names have been changed to protect the innocent, the setting has been discreetly moved (from the Los Angeles Times to the fictional Denver Times) and -- good as it is in spots -- the movie never quite comes together to be a coherent drama.
The journalist in question is a sports reporter (Josh Hartnett) who's been ground down by overwork and is about to be fired for the lack of flair in his writing when he stumbles upon an ex-boxing-contender (Samuel L. Jackson) who's now punchy and homeless. ... Read More ...

The makers of "For Sale by Owner" have announced their cast.
Kris Kristofferson, Tom Skerritt, Rachel Nichols ("Alias"), Frankie Faison ("The Wire"), Skeet Ulrich ("Jericho"), Scott Cooper ("Broken Trail"), Forrest Sawyer and James Keane will star. The cast also features Natchitoches resident Joanna Cassidy and Louisiana musician Mark Adam.
The movie will begin shooting Tuesday at Magnolia Plantation, near Natchitoches. It is being produced by Robert Duvall's Butcher's Run Films and Shreveport-based Port Pictures. ... Read More ...

Rachel has been cast in the pilot for a new tv series "Them". The Sci-fi show's plot turns around an agent being sent to investigate an extraterrestrial that has infiltrated the human race. Rachel has one of the leading roles! We'll keep you posted of all new info.

 First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL!!! We wanna wish our fav actress all the best in this new year, it certainly has a lot of projects and she certainly has a much bigger fanbase so we know 2007 will be amazing for our Rachel!!! All the best wishes!!
Annnd talking of projects, Rachel has landed a role in a new movie: so congrats on that too! Charlie Wilson's War, set to be released this year, is a drama based on a Texas congressman Charlie Wilson's covert dealings in Afghanistan, where his efforts to assist rebels in their war with the Soviets have some unforeseen and long-reaching effects. It stars Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts!! Rachel plays the role of Suzanne, not lead but still in a leading move so we couldn't be happier! We can't wait to see her in the big screen again
