Nichols is an Orion

 A few weeks ago Rachel Nichols of Alias fame stated “there’s a good chance you’ll see my shining face in the new Star Trek.” Yes you will indeed see her shining face, but it will be of a different hue than you are used to. TrekMovie.com has learned that Nichols will be playing be playing an Orion (but it hasn’t been confirmed if she is of the ’slave girl’ variety). The name of her character is not known, but it is a new character. It does not appear that Nichols is the Orion girl spotted in the spy pics from last week, but a source told TrekMovie.com that the girl in the pic was likely a stand-in.

First Look: Rachel Nichols as Scarlett in GI Joe

 Paramount released the first photo on JoBlo of Rachel Nichols (Charlie Wilson’s War, Alias) in costume as Scarlett O’Hara in Stephen Sommers‘ live-action adaptation of GI Joe. Ranked Master Sergeant, red-headed Scarlett is the first female character in the GI Joe action figure line. Her weapon of choice is the crossbow (pictured in the promo photo), and her specialty is counter intelligence.
I really love the idea of a GI Joe live action movie because it could really be something way above and beyond any army or war-type film we’ve ever seen before. I’ve heard that the script is kind of a stinker, and having the guy who directed Van Hellsing direct also doesn’t inspire confidence. That said, both of the photos released so far from the studio, Snake Eyes, and now Scarlet are more bad ass than I could have ever imagined. They could have gone real corny with colored outfits trying to replicate the look of the original characters from the GI Joe universe. So far I’m really digging the far more realistic black combat gear.

P2 Scares It Up to DVD on April 8th

 Get ready for some parking-garage horror with P2 coming to DVD on April 8th. The film stars Rachel Nichols and Wes Bentley.
It's Christmas Eve: a time for curling up by the fire with family and friends; a day when even the most voracious corporate climbers generally head home by dinner time. But not Angela. She's the last one left at the office, determined to close one more deal before the holiday. The long hours she keeps will have an impact, but not the kind she's been hoping for.
When she gets down to the parking garage, she discovers her car won't start. The timing couldn't be worse; she's already late for Christmas Eve dinner with her family, the garage is deserted and her cell phone doesn't get a signal underground. But then a friendly security guard comes along and offers to help. He flirtatiously invites her to stay and share a small Christmas dinner he's preparing in the parking office, but she laughs it off. Before she knows what's hit her, she's been knocked unconscious. When she wakes up, she's tied to a chair in the security guard's office. As it turns out, his dinner invitation was not optional - and it's going to involve a lot more than a meal. If Angela wants to live to see Christmas morning, she must find a way to escape from level P2 of the parking garage.

 Yes guys... It IS official! Rachel and Scott are engage; they were probably dating since July 2006. The couple looks lovely, and in this year their public appearances have been more common, their last appearance was in the "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" World Premiere this Monday.
